Karl Agapuu

Yes, that is a koala on my arm. I had it done when I moved to Estonia from Australia. It’s there to remind me of the effort I put in there to survive and never to go below that.

I started getting into movies at the age of 22. Although it took me a couple of years I found my path.

Writing short stories with the intention of working myself up to a full screenplay, a novel and a play.

I’ve finished dozens of short stories, three screenplays, a music video, two fiction novels, two non-fiction novels and a play.

Dream it

Karl Agapuu was born in a small fishing village of 20 people in Estonia. He is the only child of a truck driver father and a cashier mother. After high school he attended University of Tartu Pärnu College in Entrepreneurship and project manegement, but dropping out in year two, due to the belief that entrepreneurs are made in the ring, not behind a school desk. Shortly after joining the workforce as a cashier, he started producing short stories and screenplays in hopes of writing one for a Hollywood production studio.

Years later he found himself in film school studying Crossmedia and working on film sets.
